The Hingham Land Conservation Trust announces its guided Fall Walk on Sat., Oct. 18 at 10 AM in Wompatuck State Park. We will explore the Accord Brook/Woodpecker Pond path and discuss our 50 Walks Initiative as we sample just one of the 50 local walks you can learn about on our website. We will also launch a new 50 Walks Tracking Log for ambitious walkers to track their progress as they take on the challenge of completing all 50 of the local walks. Please see the 50 Walks page on our website for more information.
This 1.9 mile walk begins at the Wompatuck Visitors Center and loops away from Union Street to the park’s western border. Enter Wompatuck State Park at the main entrance at 204 Union Street, Hingham, and take the second right turn into the Visitor Center parking lot where we will meet. Please dress for the weather and be prepared to walk on uneven terrain that includes rocks and protruding tree roots along sections of the path.
