Name of your business: Homemakers Interior Design
Location: Hingham
Why did you choose Hingham as your place of business? As a South Shore native, I feel very connected to the area so my husband and I chose Hingham as home to raise our young family. When I launched my business, it was only natural to be rooted at home to design homes.
What makes your business unique? I bring design ideas to life through detailed and interactive 3D modeling, allowing clients to see their homes before a single wall is painted or a sofa is delivered. It’s a game-changer for clients to visualize their investment, creates confidence in every choice, and makes the design process so collaborative.
What services do you offer your clients? I offer full-service interior design for complete home transformations as well as à la carte design services for clients who want flexibility. Every service is tailored to meet clients where they are. Whether they’re furnishing a single room or building from the ground up.
Your favorite part of having your own business: I’m so grateful for the ability to blend my home life and my work life. It’s created a beautiful sense of autonomy and purpose. My work has always been deeply personal, but now I feel like I’ve stepped out of the “hustle culture” and into a more intentional rhythm. I’m not just living the dream, I’m designing it.
Do you have any pets? Yes! We have a super-spunky 5-year-old Mini Labradoodle named Maui. He’s my little sidekick and does an excellent job making sure I get outside for a daily walk.
What makes Hingham unique? Hingham is such a gem! Its rich history, all-American charm, and proximity to Boston and the beach makes it truly special.
What do you enjoy doing most in your spare time? Right now, my favorite time spent is raising our two-year-old son, Wesley. Our weekends are always filled with lots of family and friend hangouts. When I carve out some “me time,” I love to run, and I have my eye on running a few more marathons in the future.
Favorite Hingham restaurant and meal: A neighbor recently introduced me to Kneedy Mama’s English muffins at the Hingham Farmers Market – they’re amazing (if we can snag them before they sell out!)
My husband and I also love the Square Café for a Saturday night date. The cozy energy takes us back to our pre-kid Charlestown days. The poached pear salad with a glass of wine is *chef’s kiss*.
Favorite Hingham local spot: World’s End, hands down. It’s our family’s go to place to unwind, breathe, and reset. We love to bring our out-of-town guests there to experience the peacefulness.
Favorite vacation destination: Hawaii will always hold my heart as we got married there!
Do you have a hidden talent or interesting fact about yourself? I can untangle even the most hopelessly knotted necklace. A small but mighty talent that definitely comes in handy:)
