Registration is now open for Derby Academy Summer Programs 2026, offering families a dynamic and flexible summer experience built around four distinct program tracks: Camp Derby, Derby Summer Arts, Summer STEM, and Summer Sports.
Designed to meet a wide range of interests and ages (programs for ages 4-15), and located on the expansive campus of Derby Academy in the heart of downtown Hingham, Derby Summer Programs combine joyful camp experiences with opportunities for skill-building, creativity, and exploration. Following a year of intentional planning and program refinement, the 2026 season introduces updated structures, new offerings, and an improved registration experience for families.
Derby Summer Programs run for 7 weeks throughout the summer, June 22 to August 7 with half and full day options and 1, 2, and 3-week sessions.
The four Derby Summer Program tracks include:
- Camp Derby | Ages 4-11: A traditional day camp experience emphasizing community, outdoor play, creativity, and fun, with age-appropriate programming designed to help campers build confidence and friendships.
- Derby Summer Arts | Ages 8-15: Specialized offerings in theater, visual art, and music, allowing students to explore creative expression through hands-on, immersive experiences led by skilled instructors.
- Summer STEM | Ages 8-15: Innovative programs focused on science, technology, engineering, and math, including opportunities to explore artificial intelligence (AI) and other emerging fields through engaging, project-based learning.
- Summer Sports | Ages 5-15: Athletic and waterfront programs that promote teamwork, skill development, and physical wellness, including offerings in sailing, rowing, and other sports.
Families will also benefit from a newly redesigned registration platform, making it easier to browse programs, manage schedules, and access key information.
