Fall offerings by the Hingham Center for Active Living include:

MUSICOPHILIA REVISITED: Why Oliver Sacks’ Insights still shape our understanding of music and the brain. The program, presented by Dr. Steve Bass, Artistic Director at South Shore Conservatory, will take place Wednesday, Oct. 8, at 1:30 p.m.  and will examine how Sacks’ Musicophilia program of music and the brain has shaped today’s understanding of music’s neurological impact.

The following week, on Wednesday, Oct. 15,  at 1:30 p.m.  “ITALIAN-AMERICAN” songs and singers will be presented by Jack Craig. As Italian-American immigrants grew in numbers, so did songs and singers — including Dean Martin and Frank Sinatra.  Join us for sing-alongs and laughter during what Jack has promised will be a truly Viva Italia program.

The programs will be held at the Hingham Center for Active Living, 225 Central St. Seating is limited and registration is required at 781-741-1458.
