Cars & Coffee Charity Benefitting Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation on Sunday 4/27

April 21, 2025 By Jacks Drive 55 Foundation

Jacks Drive 55 Foundation (JD55) is hosting a free Cars & Coffee show on Sunday, April 27th from 9:00 AM to Noon, hosted by Hardkore Athletic Performance Center, located at 22 Reservoir Park Drive, in Rockland. The Show will feature a variety of sports cars and antiques supported by local collectors as well as Mclaren Boston and Porsche Norwell. All the proceeds from the event will benefit The Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation.

Tony Giorgio, Co-founder and board member of Jacks Drive 55 says the foundation has been adding new charity fundraising events for children with brain tumors since  the annual hockey event kicked off five years ago. “We love the hockey families, it’s where we made so many great friends and became a group on a mission to help save kids lives by putting on unique events that raise money for the medicines and treatments that fight brain tumors [the number one killer cancer in children]. But, we also know not everyone is into hockey, so Jack started the idea of running other events to open up more opportunities for people and groups to get involved in the charity.”

This is the 3rd Annual Car Show the Foundation has offered, but the first on its own, without the hockey tournament. “This will be an event that Jack himself has initiated and although he is still being challenged, Jack would like to help continue to make a difference in other kids …  he developed a low-grade glioma at the age of 11 while playing hockey. During Jacks’s long Chemotherapy program at The Jimmy Fund Clinic, the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation introduced us to Dr. Mimi Bandopadhayay of Dana Farber, who inspired all of us to seek support of her study of ‘rebounding’. Our Foundation is proud to be one of the first to support this extremely important study,“ said Giorgio.“ Link: https://curethekids.org/update/pbtf-funds-two-new-pediatric-low-grade- glioma-precision-medicine-grants-at-dana-farber-cancer-institute/

To date, Jacks Drive 55 Foundation has raised more than $241,000, with a goal of hitting $255,000 through the Cars & Coffee event.
