South Shore Conservatory’s (SSC) 2026/2027 Premier Concerts season kicks off on Saturday, October 3, with The Firebird Pops Orchestra, as they bring the full power of a live orchestra to “Hollywood in Hingham,” an afternoon of movie-music magic at SSC’s Carr Amphitheater.
Featuring many John Williams classics, including unforgettable music from Star Wars, Jurassic Park, and E.T., “Hollywood in Hingham” invites families, film lovers, and orchestra fans to experience iconic scores the way they were meant to be heard — big, bold, and performed live!
Under the direction of Conductor Brendan J. Kenney, The Firebird Pops, comprised of 80 musicians from across Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and New Hampshire, presents high-caliber, multimedia orchestral performances to local audiences—featuring the music of film, television, video games, Broadway, and more—while maintaining an inclusive and community-driven spirit.
Other fall 2026 performances in SSC’s Premier Concerts include “Little Shop of Horrors” featuring Harbour Lights Theater, which runs October 22 through October 25 at SSC’s Ellison Center for the Arts in Duxbury, “New York Voices: The Grand Finale” on Sunday, November 15 at Scituate Center for the Performing Arts, and “South Shore Holiday Pops” featuring Jin Kim and Atlantic Symphony Orchestra on Sunday, December 13 at Scituate Center for the Performing Arts.
