September 3, 2026 Submitted By The North River Arts Society

The North River Arts Society presents ‘Happy Hour’, a two-person art exhibition by Jo Killion-Wildes and Lori Fopiano, now through October 1. Join us for an opening reception to meet the artists and enjoy light refreshments on Thursday September 3 from 5:30 – 7:30 pm at the Dolphin Galley, Hingham Public Library, 66 Leavitt Street.

What truly defines a “happy hour”?

While the phrase instantly conjures images of clinking glasses, vibrant cocktails, and the warm release at the end of a long workday, the spirit of the hour runs much deeper. It is less about what is in the glass, and more about the deliberate pause—the conscious choice to transition from the demands of the day into a space of comfort, warmth, and connection.

This collection explores “Happy Hour” in all its interpretations: the literal, the ritualistic, and the personal.

Here’s to the moments—and the hours—that lift us up.
