
Sarah “Sally” Threlfall died Thursday July 30th surrounded by her loving family. In 1932, Sarah was born in her family home in Hingham. She had an idyllic childhood, with her parents James J. and Mabel (Mackenzie) Gordon. Sarah attended Hingham schools and graduated in 1950. In 1952, Sarah married James E. Threlfall a fellow Hinghamite. They built a home in Hingham soon after their marriage, where she lived the duration of her life.
Sarah’s true calling in life was being a stay-at-home wife and mother. She supported her husband, Jim, as he rose through the ranks and achieved position of State Adjutant General, in Massachusetts.
Sally was a very talented artist, seamstress, and an all-around handy person. She travelled extensively with family and friends. These friendships were an important part of her life.
Sally is survived by her daughters Joanne Threlfall, Judy (Jay) Rowley, Marion LoBianco, Jean (Bill) Terman, and son James (Denise) Threlfall. Known as Gigi to her grandchildren Michael, Jamie, Jill, Jenny, J.T., Chris and Bryan. She cherished her time with great grandchildren, Sean, Sarah, Drew, Henry, Lia, James, Charlotte, Natalie, Thomas, Hayley and Mae. Sally is predeceased by her husband, James E. Threlfall.
