South Shore Conservatory Holds Auditions For Student Mad Love Rock Band

High school musicians invited to audition on May 9

April 30, 2026 From South Shore Conservatory

South Shore Conservatory (SSC) invites high school drummers, bassists, guitarists, keyboardists, and vocalists to audition for the Dave Jodka Scholarship for Future Rockers which provides an opportunity for rock students to learn the art and business of contemporary and rock music. Auditions are May 9 from 10 am to 2 pm at SSC’s One Conservatory Drive campus.

Being part of this band, which will perform with other bands at Mad Love Music Festival on Monday, October 11, the funding source for this scholarship, is an exciting opportunity to learn about playing music, writing original, booking gigs, marketing a band, and much more. Established in honor of South Shore rock aficionado Dave Jodka, of Scituate, who passed away in 2014, the Jodka Scholarship offers high school musicians the opportunity to participate in a high quality, coached, committed rock band at SSC, free of charge.

Students entering grades 9-12 are encouraged to audition, and if accepted into the band, are exempt from future auditions until graduation. Online registration is required.
