OBITUARY: Richard M Lincoln

Richard M. Lincoln, a lifelong resident of Hingham, passed away on April 12, 2026. He was 74.

Richard was born on September 26, 1951, to Robert and Catherine Lincoln in Boston and was raised in Hingham. He graduated from Hingham High School. After high school, he went on to attend Deerfield Academy, the University of Connecticut, and Boston College. During his time in college, he played several positions in football and was renowned as a talented defensive back. Richard began his career in construction after school, going on to found RML Construction, a successful business he ran for over 50 years.

In his spare time, Richard enjoyed hiking, fishing, and exploring. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family, friends and grandchildren. Richard was known for his stories often told around the campfire at the Farm, the family home in Bethel, ME.

Richard’s life centered around his family that began when he met Denise. The two immediately connected. They soon married and would go on to have 3 sons and share 49 happy years together. Richard and Denise’s marriage was an example of love, loyalty, and dedication.

Beloved husband of Denise Lincoln of Hingham. Devoted father to Brennan Lincoln and his wife Lauren, Colin Lincoln and his wife Austen, and Garrett Lincoln and his wife Elana. Adoring grandfather to Aurelia, Nellie, Barrett, and Isaac. Richard is also survived by 6 siblings, many nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family and friends.

Richard’s strength, commitment and deep love for his family will not be forgotten. He will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved him.
