Renee Sandra Rudolph of Hingham passed away peacefully on March 2, 2026 at the age of 80. She was the beloved wife of the late David Barry Rudolph, with whom she shared 54 years of marriage. Her children were her world, and she is mourned and deeply missed by her beloved sons Gregory and Daniel. She was an adoring grandmother to John and a devoted sister to David, Estelle, Greta, and Naomi. A heartbroken rescue dog, Gigi, also misses her.
Born and raised in South Africa, Renee trained as an early childhood educator, which was her lifelong vocation. She had a magical gift for connecting with children, and the students at Derby Academy, East School, and Scituate Montessori loved “Mrs. Rudolph”.
Renee lived a life defined by service to others – she volunteered extensively, including prolific work with Hadassah and Temple Sha’aray Shalom. Known for her endless acts of kindness, she was a model of compassion, famously taking great joy in feeding people. She also developed a love for Boston sports and was an enthusiastic fan, especially of the Patriots and the Revolution. Her sons will remember her joyous spirit, admirable resilience, and unwavering loyalty. Her community will remember the love and care she gave so freely.
In her memory, donations may be made to Unity Farm Sanctuary (www.unityfarmsanctuary.org) or to the Renee and David Rudolph Fund at https://www.puente-dr.org/news/event/.
