Since 2019, the Anchor has been part of Hingham’s daily life, documenting local history, celebrating our people, covering breaking news, and keeping our community connected. Your engagement and encouragement have shaped the Anchor into a true community platform.
Across the country, local journalism is disappearing. Today, more than 50 million Americans do not have a local news source in their community. We are fortunate that the Anchor has grown into a 24/7 digital news source, but sustaining it requires community support.
That is why we created the Anchor Community Media Fund, a tax-deductible nonprofit fund established with Harbor Media (Tax ID: 27-5300052) to support independent local journalism in Hingham and across the South Shore.
