South Shore Conservatory’s (SSC) Duxbury Music Festival ushers in the holiday season with Holiday Jazz featuring Boston-based Caio e Jess Quintet on Wednesday, December 3, at Island Creek Oyster Bar (ICO), 403 Washington Street in Duxbury. Doors open at 5:30, music starts at 6 pm.
This jazz quintet, led by American vocalist, Jessica Curran and Brazilian guitarist, Caio Afiune, this award-winning ensemble presents a unique blend of jazz, rock-pop and Brazilian music. An award-winning ensemble, Caio e Jess delivers an ethereal, immersive show of virtuosic electricity. Their works explore the many forms of compassion and unity toward each other and toward the planet, with rich harmonies and a synthesis of acoustic instruments and modern technology.
The band is gearing up to release their debut full-length album, “Encontro,” featuring some of the finest musicians from around the globe including prestigious guests such as Laura Perrudin, Michael Mayo and Marissol Mwaba, and produced by Grammy-winner, Nic Hard.
Island Creek Oyster Bar, located on scenic Duxbury Bay, offers a casual dining experience with a focus on fresh oysters, hand-packed caviar, and a variety of local craft beers and wines. Please note that food and drink are not included in the ticket price.
