Weir River Farm invites families, friends, and community members to celebrate the beauty of autumn at its beloved Weir River Farm Fall Festival, taking place Saturday, September 27, from 10AM to 5PM. This festive day promises fun for all ages with farm animals, tractor rides, crafts, games, live music, and more—all set against the scenic backdrop of one of the South Shore’s most picturesque historic farms.
Festival Highlights Include:
- Sheepherding Demonstrations at 11:30AM, 1:30PM, and 3:30PM
- Live Music by Peter Mundt (11AM–2PM) and Ruth Rappaport (2PM–5PM)
- Farm Activities: Visit with animals, climb aboard a tractor, make crafts, play games, and get a farm-themed temporary tattoo
- Local Vendors: Shop eco-friendly products from local artisans and sustainability partners
- Food & Drink: Enjoy bites from Mom on the Go, Just the Dip, and Wanderlust; cool off with Ellie’s Treats ice cream; and sip local brews from Stellwagen Beer and Widowmaker Brewing

Sensory-Friendly Fall Festival Hour: From 10AM to 11AM, the festival will offer a Sensory-Friendly Hour designed for individuals with autism and sensory sensitivities. This inclusive hour features reduced noise, limited capacity, and thoughtful accommodations. All ticket holders—sensory-friendly and general admission—are welcome to enjoy the festival throughout the day.
Volunteer Opportunities: Weir River Farm is seeking enthusiastic volunteers to assist with admissions, crafts, sustainability efforts, and more. Volunteers receive free admission and a chance to be part of a cherished community event.
Admission &Tickets: Admission includes all activities except food and beverages. Tickets are available online, at visit thetrustees.org/event/441142/ or at the door. The event is rain or shine.
Parking &Accessibility: Festival activities will be held near the barnyard and Red Barn. Parking is located at 140 Turkey Hill Lane.
