BLUE CROSS BLUE SHIELD OF MASSACHUSETTS REPORTS STRONG GROWTH IN HINGHAM GARDEN

September 11, 2025 Submitted by Blue Cross Blue Shield Massachusetts

Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts has harvested more than 850 pounds of fresh produce from the garden at its office in Hingham so far this year. All the produce has gone directly to the Weymouth Food Pantry and Blue Cross employees to enjoy.

The cafeteria at Blue Cross’ Hingham office also incorporates fresh produce from the garden in offerings cooked up by its food service team.

Built in collaboration with The Trustees of Reservations, the Hingham Garden is a space for building community and driving impact:

  • The garden supplies nutritious food to employees and local pantries, helping to support community well-being.
  • It offers employees a chance to spend time in nature, promoting physical activity and mental well-being.
  • The garden serves as a hub for educational opportunities and partnerships, strengthening our connection to the local community.
