It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Debra “Debby” Conboy Mitchell, who died peacefully on July 23, 2025, at the age of 80.
Debby was born on January 13, 1945, in Boston, Massachusetts. She graduated from Hingham High School in 1963, where she was a proud majorette.
She is predeceased by her beloved husband Russell Mitchell, and her parents Richard and Ruth Conboy.
She is survived by her brother, Richard Conboy Jr. of Pembroke, and her beloved daughters, Michelle (Mitchell) Sweeney and her husband Larry, of Marshfield, Kelley (Mitchell) Cyr and her husband Scott, of Hingham, and Danielle (Mitchell) Symonds and her husband Matt, of Weymouth.
Debby was a devoted grandmother to seven grandchildren: Kelsey and Elisabeth Sweeney, Bennett and Camden Cyr, and Emma, Jack, and Megan Symonds.
She will be remembered for her warmth, her “gift of the gab,” and her unwavering love for the New England Patriots.
The family will hold a private service and burial. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Trinity Hospice.
Debby was always good to me when I was growing up in Hingham. I was good friend of her brother Richard Conboy Jr. Debby had some cool cars and let her brother drive ’em. Deb would always take the time to talk to you and see how you’re doing.

Great great memories of growing up next to the Conboys (our back yards kinda joined.) My mom and her mom were best of friends. She was the best… our condolences to Rich – Loretta (formerly DeVito). 💜
