Hingham Public Schools is now accepting kindergarten applications for the 2025–2026 school year. The kindergarten registration window ends on Friday, February 14, 2025, at 11:59 PM.

Registration Instructions:
1. Complete the Registration Packet
2. Gather Required Documents (prepare scanned copies of the following):
○ Original Birth Certificate
○ Current Immunizations and Physical
○ Proof of Residency
3. Set Up Your FACTS Account (required for full-day kindergarten only).
4. Submit Documents
○ Email your completed registration packet and scanned documents to your school
office.
○ If you need assistance, visit the school office for help from our front office staff.

About Kindergarten at Hingham Public Schools
Hingham Public Schools is proud to offer kindergarten programs at four award-winning elementary schools:
● East Elementary
● Foster Elementary
● Plymouth River Elementary (PRS)
● South Elementary
Programs:
● Full-Day Kindergarten: Tuition-based ($2,950 per year). Payment options include monthly payments or a full payment at the start of the year. If you think you may qualify for subsidized tuition, visit our website for more information.
● Half-Day Kindergarten: Free of charge.
Transportation:
Transportation is provided to all kindergarten students for both full-day and half-day options. You must be over a mile from the school to be eligible. Bus routes and additional transportation information will be released before the school year begins. Your child’s kindergarten teacher will communicate these details directly to families. Before and After School Care:
Our Before and After School Care is operated by HPS program Kids in Action (KIA). Registration is open now. There are limited number of placements, so if you think you might need care, please apply as soon as possible. Find application instructions here.
Before School Programs:
● East School
○ 7:00 – 8:40 AM
● Foster School
○ 7:00 – 8:15
● South School: South AND Plymouth River Students.
○ 7:00 – 8:40 AM. PRS leaves at 8:15
After School:
● Offered at all four elementary schools in Hingham.
● 2:00 – 6:00 PM, Monday – Friday
Meals:
School breakfast and lunches are now free for all HPS students.
