Brookline Bank announced today that Peter F. Smith, a resident of Hingham, MA, has joined the Bank as a Senior Vice President in Brookline’s Commercial (C&I) Banking Group. With over 30 years in commercial banking, Mr. Smith brings expertise in delivering a wide range of financial products to the upper and lower middle markets in New England.
Mr. Smith most recently held senior positions at Citibank and City National Bank, both in the Boston market. His career has focused on developing long-term banking relationships across many segments of the commercial banking space. In his new role, Peter’s focus will be on managing a sound portfolio of commercial clients and delivering the Bank’s full range of financial solutions.
“The Bank and our clients will greatly benefit from Peter’s wealth of experience and understanding of the local market,” said David L’Heureux, Executive Vice President and Commercial Banking Division Executive. “Along with expertise in fostering client relationships, he brings demonstrated leadership and team-building skills to the C&I Group.”
Peter holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business from the University of Maine. He has been active on New England trade boards and participates in a variety of community services in Hingham, where he resides.
