Hingham jumped out to a 14-0 lead in the first quarter before Weymouth even had one offensive snap. An opening drive lasting almost 10 minutes and a fumble recovery on the ensuing kick-off led to two receiving touchdowns by senior captain Gunnar Corey and senior Jeremy Aylward. Unfortunley, the Harbormen couldn’t keep that lead and the game was tied by halftime. Untimely turnovers continue to plague Hingham this year. Sophomore Jake Varholak made his first start for varsity and threw for three TDs in the 33-21 loss. Next up is Plymouth North away on Thursday night.
