The 8th Annual JBA Classic wrapped up last Monday at Notre Dame Academy, bringing together a strong field of teams including Brookline High School, East Bridgewater High School, and Carver High School. The tournament continues to honor NDA alumna and Hingham resident Jessica Bradbury Adams ’97 — a beloved basketball coach whose lasting impact continues to shape the community.

Coach Jess led with passion, integrity, and a deep belief in every student-athlete who stepped onto the court. A champion for inclusion, she served on the board of directors for the South Shore Special Needs Athletic Partnership(SNAP) and helped expand inclusive opportunities within NDA basketball. The annual JBA Classic celebrates her leadership, service, and the many lives she influenced on and off the court.

Jessica’s husband Bobby, son Owen and daughter Quinn were joined by SNAP board member Tom Hoffman during the event.

In the championship game, NDA captured the title with a thrilling 51–49 win over Brookline High School. Leading the way was 7th grader Georgia Orlando with 20 points and 7 assists, followed by senior Elle Orlando with 16 points, 3 rebounds, and 2 steals. Additional scoring came from sophomore Reagan Costello (7 points), freshman Jade Radebaugh (4 points), junior Emma Trout (2 points, 9 rebounds), and sophomore Lucy Disch (2 points).

In the consolation game, East Bridgewater earned a 61–21 victory behind strong performances from junior Jenna Oman with 23 points and senior Bella Adams with 20 points.

The Classic was a meaningful success, highlighted by the presence of Jess’s family throughout the event — her husband Bobby and children Owen and Quinn. Owen, now a sophomore at Boston College High School and plays for BCH, and Quinn, who plays in the Hingham youth basketball program, continue to carry forward her love of the game.
